During the great Samudra Manthan, the cosmic churning of the ocean, a deadly poison known as Halahala emerged, threatening to destroy all creation.

To protect the universe, Lord Shiva fearlessly consumed the poison, holding it within his throat to save all living beings. Beside him stood Vasuki, the mighty king of serpents, who also endured the venom in an act of devotion and loyalty.

Deeply moved by Vasuki’s courage and unwavering faith, Shiva placed the serpent around his neck as a sacred symbol of protection, fearlessness, and mastery over danger and ego.

For centuries, the serpent beside Shiva has represented inner strength, transformation, and the power to remain calm even amidst chaos.
